Comic fans, DC Comics and Marvel alike have produced viral sites that teased their movies before, such as http://www.thegothamtimes.com as a teaser for The Dark Knight, or http://www.trask-industries.com, which teased X-Men: Days of Future Past.
In search of one of these sites, I decided to type in http://www.wayneenterprises.com. I was taken to a page that said, “This Web Page is Under Construction.” I got extremely excited, but then I thought, Maybe it’s just a site for an actual business.
But then, I decided to type in http://www.lexcorp.com, knowing that LexCorp will probably play a major part in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Here’s the crazy thing: I was taken to the same page. Exactly the same page. “This Web Page is Under Construction.”
Curious, I did a little more research. The webpage that I was directed to indicated that the site was being built by a company called Network Solutions. Curious, I checked their list of clients. Warner Bros., makers of Batman vs. Superman, was on the list! Coincidence? Only time will tell.
